Most of us practice the method of chanting Buddha's name, why?It is easy to practice, it is easy to do. How easy is it to recite Amitabha Buddha?Then you also need to visualize, that is, you not only recite verbally, but also think in your heart.What are you thinking?Think of Amitabha Buddha, chant with your mouth, and think in your heart.But we often have many delusions when chanting the Buddha's name. I think all fellow Taoists are like this, so the "Amitabha Sutra" teaches us to recite it with one mind and not be confused!I see that there are very few people who recite one mind and not confused among us fellow Taoists. In the Amitabha Sutra, if one day, two days, three days, five days, six days, and seven days, you should recite one mind and not confusedly!


This is our current heart!The distracted mind is very heavy, and it is difficult to recite it with one mind and not be confused;But you need to build confidence, what kind of confidence should you build?If you recite the Amitabha Sutra, you will definitely be born in the Pure Land. According to the Amitabha Sutra, you can recite the holy name of Amitabha Buddha and be born in the Pure Land. If you don’t have a birth in this life, it doesn’t matter, you will definitely be born in the next life;In another life, you will definitely be born in the Pure Land anyway.


All Buddhas bless


Many people ignore the chanting of the Amitabha Sutra. What should they ignore?The blessings of all Buddhas are not the blessings of Amitabha Buddha, the infinite Buddhas in the six directions, and those who recite the "Amitabha Sutra" or the mantra of rebirth, these Buddhas in the six directions will not save you in this life, and will remember you in the next life, and will definitely send you to the Pure Land.But has our confidence been established?Often, when you are seriously ill and die, you will lose this thought and you will not be able to focus on it.


Also, we remember that when Mr. Guangqin came to Taiwan, he persuaded people to chant Buddha's name. I remember that he was in Quanzhou, Fujian, mainland China, where there was a mountain called Qingliang Mountain.I often go to this mountain because Master Hongyi’s tomb is located in that place. Later, the old monk Guangqin also built a tower next to Master Hongyi.

This old man has a lot to do with Master Hongyi.When he was practicing in Qingliang Mountain, because Master Hongyi lived in Quanzhou, he was there at that time and taught him the teachings and encouraged him to recite the Buddha's name.At the same time, I advised him to save sentient beings, but I would not preach any sutras!Master Hongyi said, don’t preach any sutras, just encourage people to chant Buddha’s name, saying that your fate is very strong and you may save sentient beings in the future.


Recite the Buddha honestly


Therefore, when I came to Taiwan, I remembered the old monk Guangqin. There were Buddhist chanting halls everywhere. Whenever I saw him, he would not tell you other methods. What I told you was that it was very simple, chanting Buddha’s name honestly.Let’s think of Master Yin Guang from the mainland. Master Yin Guang was in seclusion in Putuo Mountain and came out to Shanghai to preach. When he was just preaching, the fate method was very prosperous. Thousands of people listened to it, which was probably less than half a month!There are no ones to talk about!The more I listened, the fewer the people, the fewer the more I listened. In the end, no one listened!The old master thought that he had no fate and had no fate to spread the Dharma, so he focused on chanting Buddha's name and going to retreat.


Then how can he save sentient beings?When writing a letter, you will ask him what questions you have, and write a letter to reply to you!


I heard from Master Cizhou tell me that I have never visited Master Yin Guang, because Master Yin Guang invited Master Cizhou. This is my personal teacher, the teacher who studied Huayan, and asked Master Cizhou to go to his Lingyan Mountain to preach.


Master Cizhou also practices chanting Buddha's name and also practicing meditation. Master Yin Guang often talks with Master Cizhou. He was originally very knowledgeable in the scriptures and studied in seclusion, but he did not have the chance, and he was all dedicated to chanting Buddha's name;No matter who asks him to chant Buddha's name, there are four words: chant Buddha's name honestly.


So there are many fellow practitioners who recite the Buddha's name. It's not difficult to recite Amitabha Buddha. What's the difficulty?What's the difficulty?Not honest!We fellow Taoists can ask ourselves, when you chant the Buddha's name, do you have no other thoughts?Can you be honest?The problem is that we are not honest;When chanting the Buddha's name, we cannot recite it wholeheartedly. Many of our fellow practitioners who chant the Buddha's name have to read this sutra and that sutra. We will go to repent and chant the Buddha's name at a time, and add a lot of extras. This is why they cannot be honest and are not seeking rebirth in the Pure Land!


Because you are not dedicated, you will have very little reliability in rebirth in the Pure Land, which means you are blessed by the Buddhas in the six directions. You must be taken into consideration. This is a kind of thing.


A sentence of Amitabha Buddha contains all Huayan


The second method of chanting Buddha's name is probably the general one.


《The last chapter of the Great Blessing Buddha's Avatamsaka Sutra, "The Chapter on Samantabhadra's Practice and Vows", is the one who makes Samantabhadra's Practice and Vows, and finally Samantabhadra Bodhisattva will send you to the Pure Land.Just recite the "Samantabhadra Vows" and the "Samantabhadra Vows" and the "Samantabhadra Vows". You cannot recite the full text, the Ten Great Vows Kings.


Our Master Cizhou once said the seven-day chanting Buddha's name, and gave a teaching. You recite Amitabha Buddha and have all the "Eighty Avatamsaka Sutra" and how can Amitabha Buddha be fully equipped with all the Avatamsaka Sutra? According to the "Sambasara Vows Chapter", because your Amitabha Buddha is fully equipped with the Ten Great Vows Kings, just recite Amitabha Buddha and have all the Ten Great Vows Kings, which means you are very uncentered in your mind. I am not talking about chanting Buddha's name with all your mind. If you are not focused, you will always have free time. I always feel that there is something else in your heart. You should miss the sutras!Learn the method!Then combine the ten great vows of the "Samuniha Bodhisattva's Practice and Vows" in the "Avatamsaka Sutra" with your chanting of the Buddha's name. Reciting the ten great vows of Amitabha Buddha is complete. When you recite the chanting, add some visualization and visualization in your mind.


Amitabha Buddha is all Buddhas. This is what the "Avatamsaka Sutra of the Great Blessed Buddha" says, one Buddha is many Buddhas. When you respect all Buddhas, it is not one Amitabha Buddha, but an infinite and infinite Amitabha Buddha. All Buddhas in the ten directions, past, present, and future, are all in the words Amitabha Buddha. Buddhas and paths are the same, and one Buddha is all Buddhas.


The holy name of chanting the Buddha's name, Namo Amitabha, is to praise the Tathagata. The first great vow to pay homage to all Buddhas, and the second great vow to praise the Tathagata.When reciting, praise the Buddha's merits and think of Amitabha Buddha's forty-eight vows to adorn a Pure Land in the Pure Land of the Pure Land in the Pure Land of the Pure Land of the Pure Land of the Pure Land of the Tathagata.But when you recite the Buddha's name, you offer it in your heart. This offering is not a fragrance or lantern, but a heart offering, a heart offering.How do you offer your heart?According to the meaning of the Avatamsaka Sutra, the places you have been to are not only Taipei City, or Japan, or the United States, or New York, or Washington, or anywhere you can go!You brought all the department stores and fruit stores to offer them to all Buddhas. How do you move them?With one's intention, you offer all the things you have visited, department stores and fruit shops to all Buddhas, and use them to offer them, and offer them to your heart and mind, and then you will be immeasurable.


Someone also asked me, is this true?I said, it’s more true than the real, how can I explain it?Anything that really offers can be broken, it will be broken, flowers will be broken, fruits will be broken, and clothes you need to wear are broken, but you want to offer it this way!Never broken.Because why not talk about the gods?We have not been to heaven, and we don’t know the heaven, how can the heaven be transformed?The only things you have ever been to in the world are to be congenital. How can you be congenitalized if you have not been to be congenital?


So it’s just the department store you’ve been to, so what you see is that no one can think of the trees in front of you or even the water in the sea, and you can make thoughts and offer sacrifices to the Buddha. This is called intentional offering.


Reciting Amitabha Buddha includes respecting all Buddhas, praising the Tathagata, and practicing offerings extensively.But when you recite the Buddha's name, you must eliminate the karma that has been passed. Amitabha Buddha will eliminate the karma that has been passed for eighty kalpas. Then, if you recite every thought, one thought, eighty kalpas, ten thoughts will be passed for eight hundred kalpas. If you recite the sins of countless kalpas, just Amitabha Buddha will eliminate them. Don't kowtow and worship, just Amitabha Buddha repents, the fourth great vow.


At the same time, when you chant Amitabha Buddha, you feel that there are too many chanting in this world. Not only are we chanting here, but our Buddhist temple is very small, and the heavenly beings are also chanting, all the Buddhas in the six directions are also chanting, and the Buddhas in the six directions are also chanting. If you have a bigger mind, don’t you think so!Think about these things, think about the Ten Great Vow Kings, and your karma will disappear.You can repent in this way, and the karma of countless kalpas disappeared suddenly, and even offering to yourself. We think that there are many offerings in this world, and I am all admiring and rejoicing. You read the "Amitabha Sutra" that the "Amitabha Sutra" says that in the morning, the sentient beings in the Pure Land will rise up to the ten trillion Buddha lands to offer to all Buddhas, and after offering to the ten trillion Buddhas, they will return to the Pure Land, and then return to their native Pure Land, and then eat breakfast. This is the thought!It's just your mind.

Don't you think?This is to chant the Buddha's name with the Ten Great Vow Kings, which is to stop your delusions, just think about it!The more you think about it, the bigger you get, you can’t imagine that even repentance and offerings are enough, is the most repentance method to repent karma. Reciting Amitabha Buddha can eliminate your serious sins of eighty billion kalpas.Why can't we eliminate it?The same is true, whoever thinks is gone, but if you have enough visualization, you will disappear. If you have enough imagination, don’t think it is fake. It is real. It becomes real. This is repentance to karma.


We cannot rejoice in the Buddhas of the ten directions and all sentient beings seeking the merits they seek now. When we recite the Amitabha Sutra, people in the Pure Land will get up in the morning and go to the ten directions and ten billion Buddha lands to offer to the Buddha. When we go, I can rejoice!I have my merits for you to offer to the Buddha. I praise the merits of rejoicing, and rejoicing. I visualize the Ten Great Vows Kings like this, but this is also a praise, and it is also a praise.


What after it's over?You must always follow all Buddhas to learn, and you also invite the Buddha to live in the world and please turn the Dharma-wheel.When chanting the Buddha's name, you ask the Buddha to stay in the world, ask the Buddha to turn the Dharma-wheel, the sixth great vow to turn the Dharma-wheel, and the seventh great vow to ask the Buddha to stay in the world, and it is inscribed!It depends on what you can’t think of, but when you think like this, when you visualize, you will have to follow all sentient beings after you finish, and ask the Buddha to stay in the world and ask the Buddha to turn the Dharma-wheel.


After that, when you come back, you will follow sentient beings. Any sentient being who does not follow suit, does not care about humans, mosquitoes, ants, and all sentient beings have praises and rejoices, and that are all Buddhas.This principle is very profound, but when you think about it, you can visualize it like this and recite Amitabha Buddha, which is complete with the ten great vows.


After that, what do you think, dedicate, what do you think?Dedicate merit to all sentient beings, wishing that all sentient beings can obtain Pure Land. The Pure Land is universal, not called Pure Land in the West, but also in the East. There is also the West, the endless West.So what about your dedication?From paying respect to all Buddhas to dedicating them to the words of Amitabha, one sentence of Amitabha is to have the ten great vows. This is to use the "Avatamsaka Sutra" to recite the Buddha's name, and Bodhisattvas practice vows to recite the Buddha's name.After finishing, you will finally make vows in the Bodhisattvas, saying that Manjushri, Samantabhadra, Guanyin, and Maitreya, these great Bodhisattvas will come to bless you, and after finishing, you will see Amitabha Buddha.At that time, when you recite the Buddha's name and preach, you will see the Buddha. When you are born in the lotus, you will reach the Pure Land in your life, and the lotus will bloom. The Ten Great Vow Kings, Samantabhadra's vows, bless you with the blessings of Samantabhadra's practices and vows, suddenly realize that there is no birth, and be born in the Pure Land. When the lotus blooms, you will suddenly realize that there is no birth, and you will immediately enter the realm of great bodhisattvas, and you will reach the stage of Bodhisattvas, suddenly realize that there is no birth, so you will be born in the highest level. This is to recite the Buddha's name with the Ten Great Vow Kings.


So I said that when you are in delusion, you can't stop it. You should think in this way, and the more you think, the more you think, the more you will be, the more you will be. Just like this, chanting Amitabha Buddha, you will have a complete Amitabha Sutra.


When we say that we recite the Buddha's name, Amitabha Buddha, all these merits are fulfilled. Do you have such a great thought?No, if not, you should chant Buddha’s name honestly!We often say that Amitabha is complete with all Buddhist teachings. This is not what I said. Master Lianchi and Master Huiyi both said so. When Master Huiyi finally passed away, "I gave you no children before leaving, and Amitabha is a big boat!"I'm going to die, there is no gift, what's there?What is it to give you a big ship?Amitabha Buddha, the word Amitabha is a great boat, and you all go to the Pure Land!This is what Master Huiyi told his disciples.


Then I'll introduce him now!May I ask all of us, we all use this saying Amitabha as a big ship, and we will pass through this sea of ​​suffering of life and death and reach that immortal world.But remember!When reciting the Buddha's name, don't be half-hearted, and don't chant the Buddha's name while you want to sleep, and you can chant the Buddha's name and meditation!Huafan University talks about Zen, so they first practice Zen and practice seven-days, and ask me to tell them.Later, after the seven-day Zen period, I chanted the seven-day Buddha's name again. What is this called?There is both Zen and Pure Land. In our practice, there are those who do this, Zen and Pure Land, like a tiger wearing a horn.This means that when you practice chanting Buddha's name, you must settle down. What about a single thought?Read it for a while!What about chanting Buddha’s name in this mind?I'll think about something else and go to the mall later!I can’t reach the Pure Land, my heart is too confused!It must be settled, what about settled?It means to be focused on Amitabha Buddha and let your thoughts be settled.


Although the master said, what do you do, what you do, and chant Buddha's name in your heart, can you do it?If you can do it, then you will never concentrate and will never concentrate. How can you get results if you don’t concentrate?I hope that all of us fellow Taoists, I think that many of us are many of us at home, and we should not be stubborn, but what do we lack?letter!Because you don’t believe it sincerely, of course you can’t recite it sincerely!


Confidence is not a word


I will tell you about your letters. I want to say that every fellow Taoist says you have no confidence. He will definitely scold me in his heart. This old monk is talking nonsense. I have been believing in Buddhism for so many years.I'm sure everyone believes it, but they don't have enough confidence!Why?I ask you, are you confident?"have!"You don't, you don't admit it, I'll tell you, I say you don't have confidence.


Faith is not a word!A few fellow Taoists just replied that they have faith, do you believe that you are a Buddha?Do you believe you can become a Buddha?You must believe that your heart is Buddha, and you have practiced halfway through it. This will take ten thousand great kalpas. Everyone, think about it and think about myself. How does faith have?This is said in the "Avatamsaka Sutra" that one must cultivate such a hundred thousand great disaster.


When we study Buddhism and enter Buddhism, we must believe in the heart, not faith. Faith has standards, not what we think so.What are the standards?Aware that the previous thoughts are evil, and that the next thoughts cannot be stopped, and that they can change, without this supernatural power.


In the "Avatamsaka Sutra", faith enters the position, and when it enters the position, it enters the position of faith.That faith, faith requires faith to have roots, faith roots, and the roots produce strength, which is called faith power. Believe that one is a Buddha, what does the Buddha do!Look, look back at yourself, what are you doing!Is it a Buddhist ceremony?Aware that the previous thoughts are evil, and stop the next thoughts and cannot arise.This skill is not what ordinary people have. If a small idea is wrong, this idea will be reversed immediately. This is confident.

Also, many of our fellow Taoists have been studying Buddhism for many years, and seem to know the Buddha very well and are also very clear about Buddhism. Someone asked me: How many years have the old monk been a monk?I said: It's almost eighty years, seventy-eight years.He said: Then you are very sincere in believing in Buddhism!I said no, I haven't had enough confidence.


Everyone may have doubts about this, but there is no doubt about it. It is true that faith is not in place.Let me give you an example!Do you say we have confidence?None of us promises to say that the disciples of the Three Jewels, the faithful Bodhisattvas can manifest themselves in a hundred worlds, become Buddhas and save sentient beings.Of course, one world cannot be manifested. Isn’t it possible to do it in a hundred worlds?I am according to the "Avatamsaka Sutra" and the "Avatamsaka Sutra" that the boy Shancai who has entered the position of faith is followed by ten Bodhisattvas. If he does not enter the position of faith, he will only practice.There are thirty places in the "Avatamsaka Sutra", faith, practice, and dedication. Our practice is not based on faith.It is in the heart of happiness, and happiness is the basic practice.Bodhisattvas who believe in the position will never make mistakes again, because why?If evil thoughts do not arise, he believes that he is a Buddha and will definitely become a Buddha. He can hope every thought and knows that he is the future Buddha.


I think many of us fellow Taoists have not achieved this skill, and this skill is not easy, so we will no longer fall into life and death. When we believe that we are Buddha, we will no longer follow the flow and flow.Then your faith is Buddha, and you think that the Pure Land is your own, Amitabha Buddha is you, and you are Amitabha Buddha, do you believe in this way?Not only do you believe, but you also have to admit that believing in my heart means believing in Buddhism. Acknowledging that my heart is the Buddha, the first condition is to believe.


I've finished believing, okay!That way does not mean that I live in the house, but that I practice when you walk, live, sit, lie down, eat, dress, and even when you enter the toilet!I think many of our fellow Taoists have read the "Pure Practice"!"Avatamsaka Sutra" and "Pure Purity of Purity".So all your thoughts and actions can be achieved in this "Pure Practice"!When you go to the bathroom and enter the bathroom, you vow to save sentient beings. When you urinate and defecate, you should vow to abandon greed, anger, and ignorance, and eliminate sins.You can open your eyes in the morning and sleep. You will wish all sentient beings to be enlightened and look around the world.

You can open your eyes to sleep at night, what day!Every move did not leave the Bodhisattva Manjushri, "Pure Practice", which is a Bodhisattva who entered the position of faith.Everything you do is pure, this is a Bodhisattva of faith.


We have done it, or like me, Master Xuanhua in Wanfo City, the United States. He knows that everyone doesn’t remember it, what should I do?He posted a few notes everywhere, and when you go to the dining room, to the toilet, and when you walk there, he will post them.What note?Hang there, "Princess of Purity", post a note wherever you go, and post a note wherever you go.As soon as he saw it, he knew that at the beginning, when he wanted to go to the toilet, he would wish all living beings to abandon greed, anger, and ignorance, and eliminate sins.


Anyway, after thinking for a long time, he remembered it later. At first, he often forgot where he went and posted a note to warn himself, so that he could truly enter the position of letters.Let you think of being a Buddha every time and never forget sentient beings. Add one to the "Avatamsaka Sutra": You think of Amitabha Buddha every time and you will think of sentient beings every time, so that all sentient beings will be born in the Pure Land!If I were not born by myself, I didn’t care. This is how the great Bodhisattva is, so that he can have true faith.Because I just talked about the "Avatamsaka Sutra". In the "Avatamsaka Sutra", it requires us and we must fulfill them all, not just empty words. How can we fulfill them?You express your mood and situation and follow the teachings of Manjushri Bodhisattva, you do this.


Visualize and cultivate the Dharma nature body


When doing this, from words to silent thoughts and concepts, it is like you must do it from faith. Faith and action are combined, and after that, you will give all your own things to sentient beings. This is the "Dedication Chapter".Once the Three Virtues enter the position of the Three Virtues, they ascend to the earth. Everyone understands the Bodhisattvas on the earth, especially the Three Virtues.Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Avatamsaka Sutra, has twenty-seven dedications, not the arrival of the ground, nor the arrival of the tenth stage, but the twenty-seven dedications among the dedications. This is how the boy Shancai visited.


Like me!Why is it called Mengguan?Just dreaming!I often dream, and dreams are fake, but I feel that my dreams are not fake, they are all real, they just ask me to act.When I became a monk, I dreamed of becoming a monk because I became a monk.


Sometimes when we read Buddhist scriptures, we have to experience this way, true and false, false, false, and true. Some say to you that it is false, which is to describe one aspect, and some say to you that it is true, and that is to describe this aspect.In all sentient beings, they do not recognize their own nature, and all dharmas are false and have no real ones.When you understand your own heart, that faith is faith, your heart is the same as the Buddha, that is true!


Your faith arises from the false mind, so I hope that all of us fellow Taoists will start from scratch, what should we do?letter!If you believe that you can take root, generate strength, and have strength, so with a thought of faith, all our evil doors will be closed and all the good doors will be opened.

Therefore, when we believe in this, sometimes we have to go back and check. Do we really believe in the Pure Land?Ask yourself, outsiders don’t know, and you can’t make your own decisions!I think everyone wants to hear this sentence!Can you make your own decision?But I have been a monk for 78 years now, and I can't make my own decision!I can't let me believe it, live there for sure.


What to live on?In the Diamond Sutra, Subhuti asked the Buddha, how can he stay in his mind?How to subdue his heart?You can subdue your heart like Amitabha Buddha, chanting Amitabha Buddha every day. When you chant Amitabha Buddha, your heart is Amitabha Buddha. If you chant Amitabha Buddha, you will be chanting Amitabha Buddha, and let him subdue your heart. What will he live in?Live in Amitabha Buddha.But Amitabha Buddha is also a form, not the Dharma body of the Tathagata.


Therefore, when you are visualizing and practicing, when you recite Amitabha Buddha, you will go deeper. You should recite the Dharma nature body, the Dharma nature body of Amitabha Buddha, the Dharma nature Buddha, the Dharma nature Buddha, the Dharma nature Buddha. If you recite Amitabha Buddha, including the "Avatamsaka Sutra of the Great Blessed Buddha", including all worlds, the effect of reciting the Buddha's name in this way will be greater.Let me tell you all this today!
